Collaboration focuses on sustainable solutions for intensive farming systems
[Shanghai, China] – Australian SGM Crops, a company with a 40-year legacy in agricultural science, is now working directly with growers in Jiangsu province, China, to address soil fatigue and nutrient management challenges. Through its local subsidiary, SGM (Shanghai), the company is providing its advanced liquid fertilizer and soil conditioner solutions to improve soil structure and crop vitality.
Many farms in the region face issues related to soil acidification and salinity. SGM’s products, which are rooted in decades of research at the former Australian Crop Life Science Research Institute, are designed to replenish beneficial microbiota, balance pH levels, and enhance the soil’s natural water and nutrient retention capacity.
“We are not just selling products; we are transferring knowledge and building long-term partnerships,” said Ms. Linda Wang, General Manager of SGM (Shanghai). “Our goal is to help growers achieve a more sustainable and profitable operation by focusing on the foundation of all agriculture – healthy soil.”
This initiative underscores SGM’s commitment to applying its Australian scientific heritage to meet the evolving needs of global agriculture, promoting practices that support both productivity and environmental stewardship.
